EPA's Managing Wet Weather with Green Infrastructure program is focused on using green infrastructure technologies and approaches to manage wet weather, i.e., municipal stormwater, combined sewer overflows, nonpoint source pollution. A collaboration involving ASIWPCA, NRDC, NACWA, American Rivers and the Low Impact Development Center produced a multifaceted action plan in 2008 to develop and refine guidance materials, research, regulatory opportunities, models & calculators, training and other technical and policy tools. The goal of these efforts is to establish green infrastructure as the mainstream approach in municipal management programs for a variety of environmental outcomes.
