2007 Virginia Outdoors Plan Features Green Infrastructure Chapter

The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation features a chapter on Green Infrastructure planning in the 2007 Virginia Outdoors Plan. The VOP is the state’s official document regarding land conservation, outdoor recreation and open space planning. It helps all levels of the public and private sectors meet needs pertaining to those issues.

The 2007 Virginia Outdoors Plan encourages the state, regions and localities to employ green infrastructure land planning because it supports cost effective, sound economic development in harmony with land conservation, cultural resource protection and outdoor recreation.
